FAQ

Can I make anything 3D?

Yes! ….. But (LOL)…Honestly, the lighting has to be very good. Look at these images linked from Apple. The lighting is diffused, no harsh shadows, and for the best photos, they use a lazy susan and the iPhone is on a tripod. Of course we’ve taken pictures of objects outside and it turns out great but just try for the best lighting you can.

Can I use my DSLR?

Of course! Just take as between 20-120 images and put them in a folder then open 3D photos on your Mac and press + and choose the folder.

Can I take very close images?
Yes. This gives the best outcome too. So for example, with a shoe, take pictures all around and put it on both sides to capture underneath, then also get very close for finer details.

How long does the conversion take?

Depends on your Mac but preview models can take between 3-5 minutes depending on the number of photos. Raw conversion can take up to 30 minutes.

What is the system requirements for Mac/iOS?

iOS can be any device running iOS 14.1 or higher.

Mac System Requirements: Any Mac with an M1, M1 Pro or M1 Max OR any Intel Mac with 16GB of RAM and an AMD GPU with 4GB of VRAM running MacOS Monterey.
